Salary: £30,000 to £37,500 depending on experience

GGM Groundscare, a leading supplier of tractors and equipment to landscaping and grounds maintenance market across the North West and Yorkshire are looking to recruit an Agricultural Machinery Mechanic to join their growing team based in Colne following their appointment my Kubota as their full line dealer for higher horsepower tractors and loaders.

If you have experience in the diagnostics and repairs of plant, farm machinery or ground-care machinery, then we want to hear from you!

As well as working on Agricultural Tractors and Loaders, you will also work on a wide variety of Professional Groundscare equipment that we supply.  This will be both work-shop based and field-based travelling across Lancashire, Cheshire & Manchester

Duties to include:

  • Carry out servicing on machinery as specified
  • Performing diagnostics and repairs to customers machinery
  • Complete pre-delivery inspections and checks on both new and used machinery
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure correct parts for each job are ordered accurately
  • Accurately completing all relevant paperwork on a daily basis.
  • Undertake training to develop skills and knowledge including new products and services offered by manufacturers.

We are looking for:

  • Experience working with plant / farm machinery including Agricultural Tractors / ground-care machinery is essential
  • Relevant qualifications – City & Guilds. NVQ Level 3 or SVQ
  • Experience and a good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems as well as petrol and diesel engines.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Be self-motivated, have good communications skills and have a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Ability to adhere to health & safety practices and procedures
  • The ability to work as a team or individually
  • Full UK driving license
