APPROPRIATE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR WALK-BEHIND MOWER TRAINING
Wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is crucial for the safe operation of walk-behind mowers, helping to minimise risks from flying debris, noise exposure, and moving parts. Essential PPE includes sturdy, steel-toe safety footwear for stability and protection, safety glasses or goggles to shield against debris, and ear defenders or earplugs to prevent hearing damage. Durable gloves improve grip and protect hands, while high-visibility clothing ensures operators are easily seen. Long, close-fitting trousers provide leg protection, reducing the risk of minor injuries. Following PPE guidelines enhances safety, confidence, and efficiency when using walk-behind mowers.
